Poems from Tyheri Jones
I am a Afro-Caribbean woman and I am in search of a school that is accepting of my religion and heritage. I am on a path to pursue a degree in psychology so that I can council adolescents who face the same discrimination as I. Being of Nigerian decent, half African American and Jamaican, I have struggled with being accepted not only for my accent but for my hair, skin tone and religion.

Or does it fly away in a dream?

Feel the pain and bleed.
I was hurt...

Pain that comes from the dagger that stabs you in the...
You presented this to me when we were alone.
It dangled before my eyes
With its treasures found and stole
Stripped from his soul...
